With the report just out that GDP contracted by over 6% in the 4th quarter of 2008, there is clearly a lot of pain out there in our economy. Almost every industry is shedding jobs at an alarming rate and if you were recently laid off, you may want to consider a career change. The easiest way to get a job is through a positive referral, it can vault you to the top of the list and almost guarantee you employment if you know someone on the inside. There are also finace and banking associations – call them up to see if they are hiring or know of any companies that might be. Consider attending trade shows or meetings with other professionals – expand your network and you can get a loan modification job in no time!
